Grown by smallholder farmers in the highland terraces of Kintamani, this medium‑dark roast captures the bold, earthy sweetness that makes Balinese coffee so distinctive.
At elevations of 1200 to 1600 meters, Bourbon, Typica, and Catimor cherries thrive in rich volcanic loam, developing deep sugars and a naturally full body. Each cherry is hand‑picked at peak ripeness, then processed using the traditional wet‑hulling method—an approach unique to Indonesia that enhances the coffee’s heavy mouthfeel and intensifies its darker flavor tones. Slow drying on raised beds allows the beans to settle into their signature richness.
In the cup, expect a velvety fusion of dark chocolate, molasses, and warm brown sugar, wrapped in a smooth, lingering finish that reflects both the island’s volcanic landscape and the meticulous care of its farmers.
